Logan City Hall, 290 North 100 West, Logan
Residents, building and business owners, and anyone interested in the Center Street Historic District is invited to attend an open house on November 18th. Logan City and consultants, Io Design Collaborative, are hosting an open house to introduce the update project for the Center Street National Historic District Design Standards. We would like to receive feedback on what opportunities and challenges residents and building owners face while living and doing business in the Historic District.
The current Historic District Design Standards are located here.
The City of Logan established the Center Street National Historic District in 1978. The District is made up of a wealth of historically significant structures that represent the history and settlement of Logan. In 2003, the City adopted the "Center Street National Historic District Design Guidelines" for the District. These guidelines provide guidance to City staff, residents, neighborhood organizations, and the Historic Preservation Committee (HPC) for public and private exterior improvements in the Historic District. The guidelines have served as a valuable tool, but are in need of updating. Your input is valuable to determining where adjustments may be needed.
If you have any questions or comments about this project, please contact Amber Reeder or call (435)716-9036.
While the Fourth North corridor will continue to facilitate high volumes of automobile traffic, the potential and need for transforming it into a beautiful boulevard have become a priority for Logan City. This plan seeks to implement or complement principles, goals, and strategies from the Logan Comprehensive Plan, Adams Neighborhood Plan, Downtown Specific Plan, Logan City Bicycle & Pedestrian Plan, and the USU Transportation Master Plan.
We invite your comments on this plan and your participation in the Public Review Process at the Planning Commission Meeting August 27, 2015. If you have any questions or comments about this plan, please contact Mike DeSimone or call (435) 716-9022.
